This paper proposes an authoring tool and a player development approach for step-by-step tutoring that reproduces human teacher’s classroom lecture. The step-by-step tutoring approach is one of the most frequently used methods in many intelligent tutoring systems, allowing authoring tool users to create an intelligent tutoring system for their subject without significant burden. This paper proposes a step-by-step tutoring principle that reproduces human teacher’s classroom lecture styles, and proposes an authoring tool, a playback structure, and a workflow diagram. We also propose a related data structure, database, student model, domain model, and instructional model construction method. The tester (or player) structure and the action flow diagram proposed in this paper are the same as in the related platform. In this paper, active learning, scaffolding and proactive interventions were applied to the classroom tutoring styles. We are evaluated the degree to which the proposed system was preferred by the authors (teachers or experts in the field). We also quantitatively evaluated student achievement when intelligent tutoring contents created using the proposed authoring tool was used across the platform. The evaluation results confirmed that the authors’ preferences for the proposed authoring tools were positive and that the results of the study using the system improved the academic performance of the students.
