Bible’s impact on modern youth culture of reading

A lot of questions are being raised about today’s youths and their love for Bible. The general view is that the modern youth culture is more and more getting reluctant in embracing the Word of God in most of their dealings. This running away from the Bible by the youths prompted the author of this article to think deeply, contemplate unceasingly and ponder heartily on the future consequences the present situation entails. The author believes that what we do today has a great influence on how our tomorrow is going to be. Having worked with the youths as their chaplain for ten years, the author vividly believes that a large percentage of the modern youths have no culture of reading the Bible, not only in the Church but also in their homes. This situation brings about all sorts of challenges that are difficult to help the youth grow into adults with a vibrant faith, proper spiritual development, and understand the truth as portrayed by the scripture. This article, therefore, wish to handle the topic, “Bible’s impact on modern youth culture of reading”. Its objectives are: To clarify reasons why the youth have lost the culture of reading the Bible; To state the future consequences the present situation of the lack of love of the Bible by some youths entails; and, To find out the impact of the Bible on the modern youth culture.
